Expertizing

The instruments and the bows are examined according to the following criteria:

When someone buys a master instrument in our shop we issue an expert opinion always validated by Zoltán Délczeg with the customer's name on it.

2.The violin coheres as a whole, but the marking is not correct.

3.The original parts were completed with other parts, it is a so called composite musical instrument, the parts of which can be identified separately according to their age, origin, etc.

4. Others: The given instrument cannot be identified according to its origin, however, because of its elaboration, the quality of its varnishing, it may represent a significant value.

Hereby we would like to draw the attention of our customers to the fact that the age , the origin and the state of stringed instruments contribute to the definition of their market value to a great extent. For example, a master instrument made several centuries ago and suffered from many vicissitudes (repairs, label changes) , may represent a significant value, so the owner of the instrument is greatly advised to gain information about these.
